Vintage Room Motorcycles BMW R80RT

This workshop newcomer releases a reinvented BMW cafe racer worthy of praise.

Vintage Room Motorcycles is a phenomenon in the motorcycle world. It’s owner Mark Ceilinger fell into the cycle workshop industry unintentionally when he set out to create a clean BMW cafe racer as a coping mechanism to deal with his girlfriend’s illness.

For this outsider the plan must have worked, because his dream bike soon became a fully functional custom shop to transform, repair, paint, and reupholster some of the road’s meanest vehicles. Vintage Room Motorcycle’s BMW R80RT is the cornerstone of this operation.

It was this clean rebuild of a 1993 ex-police BMW R80RT that set Ceilinger up for a future in the motorcycle workshop industry. He began by rebuilding the entire motor, adding in new seals, bearings, gaskets, rings, and a new clutch plate. He then sanded down the bike to the bare metal and added a powder coated black paint job. The beast features rehabilitated carburetors and the extra protection of a custom aluminum heat shield. For added elements of style the dash incorporates Motogadget gear and an RFID keyless ignition which adds major tech and safety points. A low profile black leather seat provides the perfect throne while a clean teak wood seat hump has an integrated LED light for additional flair. A set of lowered forks, a brand new Wilburs shock, and premium Heidenau K60 Scout tires add jewels to this bike’s crown.

Ceilinger is proving that you don’t have to be a veteran of the game to change the way its played.
