NCT Motorcycles builds bikes that nobody needs but everyone wants, and their customization of the Honda CX 500 is no exception. This isn’t a bike that we need, but boy do we want it!
NCT completely stripped this down to create the #40 “Highflyer”. The rearframe received a new construction, and the seat, seat coal, and tank were adapted to produce a more “racing” look. The frame and rims have all been powder-coated in a sleek black color scheme, as well as the engine. The fork and yoke, from a Ducati, have also been given a paint refresh in an attractive powder-coated blue.
Though there are no technical changes to the engine, the original cooler has been replaced by an electric one. The exhauster, on the other hand, has been totally handmade by NCT to an exacting perfection and served as one of the most complicated pieces on the bike.
NCT mounted a new Öhlins chassis in the back and installed a Brembo Break System in the front, two embellishments made to contribute to its excellent ride. NCT also worked to replace its original hitch with a brand spanking new hydraulic one from Magura. The bike includes a Magura break pump.
