The latest limited-run special-edition model released by BMW, the new M3 CS will also be the very last iteration of the company’s iconic F80 M3 line. Due to new restrictions in the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP), the M3 CS will simply be too light to continue production past 2018.

And the BMW M3 CS is nothing if not lightweight. Thanks to its prominent use of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, the new BMW release is approximately 110 pounds lighter than the standard car.

With its upgraded twin-turbo 3.0-liter straight-six engine, capable of producing 454-hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, and a a top speed of 173 mph and acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, this lightweight sports sedan is meant for the enthusiast. Act fast if you want one in your driveway, as BMW will only produce 1,200 examples worldwide, with 550 vehicles headed to the U.S.
