Audi e-tron GT Concept

With style and performance to match, Audi’s new e-tron GT Concept is a much needed shot in the arm that the electric vehicle segment so badly needs.

Poised to take on the electric vehicle segment by storm, Audi introduces their new e-tron GT Concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Audi e-tron GT Concept challenges Tesla’s throne, with its aggressive design and dynamic performance — both of which were missing in the world of electric vehicles.

The e-tron GT Concept has roughly the same dimension as the newly released Audi A7 Sportback and retains some of its design cues but elevates it to imbue the vehicle with a design that matches its sporty aspirations. Based on the Porsche Taycan platform, Audi and Porsche have directly collaborated on this project to not only create a dynamic electric vehicle but a bona fide performance vehicle.

The gorgeous EV offers ample performance to match its aggressive style with 434 kW, which translated to around 582-hp. Paired with the fact that electric vehicles can offer maximum torque from standstill, the Audi e-tron GT Concept should be enough for an electrifying performance off the line to 60 in about 3.5 seconds. That serious performance is made more attractive with an expected range of 248 miles on a full charge, lessening range anxiety.

Inside the Audi e-tron GT Concept has a unique minimalist interior with new materials that we have not seen before in traditional Audi vehicles. As expected, the cabin boasts an impressive array of new technology, including a digital gauge cluster, touchscreen infotainment, and various connectivity options for mobile devices.

Expect to see one of these bad boys on the road sometime in early 2021, as the e-tron GT will go into production by the end of 2020.
