These days we rely upon the Internet for almost everything, and if we can get the Internet to help us do the dishes we’re completely sold. So we were nearly ecstatic when Heatworks announced their latest home appliance, the Heatworks Tetra Connected Countertop Dishwasher.

The Tetra is an Internet-connected compact dishwasher. It’s unique in the fact that it uses no plumbing and can be put almost anywhere as long as there is a standard electrical outlet nearby. This compact dishwasher can hold up to two full place settings with plates, bowls, cups, and silverware or 10 plates or even 12-pint glasses. Thus this small but mighty beast is perfect for a romantic dinner for two.

The Tetra is an answer to the average dishwasher that is too large for everyday purposes. As most modern households don’t host dinner parties for 13 on an everyday basis, many people take to handwashing their few daily dishes or running a half-full dishwasher, both environmentally wasteful practices. The Tetra changes all that by giving you a smarter solution more geared toward two-people households, which can save around 1,500 gallons of water each year.

As water for the machine is loaded by hand without a faucet connection, you always know exactly how much is being consumed. The device’s internal detergent reservoir also holds enough for dozens of cycles while you watch your dishes being cleaned in the 10-minute load through the transparent top.
