Longines brings back another beloved historical design to its Heritage line with the Skin Diver. A second diver addition to the line (the first being the Legend Diver with an internal dive bezel), the Skin Diver features the same automatic movement with a power reserve of 64 hours, water resistance to 300 meters, and domed sapphire crystal with AR coating on both sides, but this time with an external dive bezel. As the external, unidirectional bezel is a staple design in any modern dive watch, it certainly seems long overdue.
The case size is 42mm, slightly bigger than the original 40mm watch from the late 1950s. It also features faux aged lume, riding on that faux vintage bandwagon of late from many watch companies. Everything else is pretty much identical to the historical watch, which is a great choice if you want the vintage look with all the modern crispness. The Longines Skin Diver comes on brown leather, black rubber, or Milanese steel band.
