Vans Blur Check Authentic
Footwear Jan 07 2019
When it comes to classic canvas sneakers with a slacker flair, it’s hard to beat a pair of Vans. And when it comes to Vans, you have to give a nod to the iconic black and white checkerboard design. I mean, these are the very kicks sported by the surfer-stoner Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, played by Sean Penn.
Well, this reimagining of the classic Vans checkerboard design seems to ask, “How would Spicoli see this shoe if he smoked way too much pot?” You’ll look at least twice at these shoes because, even when sitting still on the shelf, they seem to vibrate with motion. This effect is achieved by adding a blurred effect to the shoe’s forefoot, heel, and tongue sections. Melding imperceptibly with the stock solid pattern that graces each side, these shoes will give you hallucinatory vision even if you’re stone cold sober.
