The Cabourn x Danner Jungle Boots are modeled after the boots issued to U.S. foot soldiers during the Vietnam War. A balanced, practical style combining army green fabric (Ventile, in this case) and distressed black leather, these combat boots have a rugged all-terrain sole that really is up for anything, from the city streets to the rocky island jungle nearest you.
When designing the Jungle Boots, the Portland-based bootmaker Nigel Cabourn used his favorite fabric — heritage British Ventile — for the fabric part of the upper. Nylon trim and reinforcements offer a materials update that ensure these boots stand the test of time. And of course, the Cabourn x Danner stamp adds a touch of panache that the original ‘Nam boots were missing.
