‘Game Of Thrones’ Anime Style Intro

Don't miss this bombastic Japanese anime reworking of one of the world's most loved fantasy drama stories.

We know that everything is funnier in a cartoon version. And while we haven’t quite figured out how committing death and violence to an animated form is somehow slightly hilarious, we certainly enjoy it. Case in point, the Game Of Thrones anime style intro: If Game Of Thrones Was An Anime.

This somewhat zany take on the world’s most popular fantasy drama show is delighting us to no end. It’s certainly not enough to enjoy the cartoon visages of Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, and Ned Stark, but with the accompanying Japanese soundtrack we’re positively swooning.

All the violent dynastic struggles amongst the noble families of the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and the continent of Essos are laid bare in digital form with the catchy tune. We see ambitious and power hungry Cersei sipping from the goblet, the maneuvering and self-indulgent Tyrion Lannister, and the fighting bravery of Jon Snow.

“Love or hate, I don’t know, I don’t know. I don’t really know what I’m talking about…” the Japanese singer flippantly narrates. “Even if winter is coming, I’m not afraid.” And neither are we.
