“What shape is gravity? How quick is color? How much does movement weigh? Can macro be micro? How simple is beauty?” These were the questions in the back of the minds of Studio 7.5 designers as they created the new Cosm Task Chair Line.
Working in partnership with the global furniture brand Herman Miller, the Berlin-based Studio 7.5 recently released the Cosm Task Chair in conjunction with Milan’s Salone del Mobile furniture fair. Freedom of movement has been an integral part of Studio 7.5’s mission from the very beginning. Its very name comes from an early plan to rent a 7.5-ton truck, build a functional model shop inside of it, and drive it from one project site to the next.
Resting on five freewheeling castors and a swiveling central shaft, the Cosm Chair is nothing if not mobile. Shoot from work area to work area in a jiffy or make automatic micro positioning adjustments as you work.
