Pagani Zonda Fantasma Evo

This one-off Pagani Zonda Fantasma Evo is born again, now wearing a new full dark red carbon fiber body.

The Pagani Zonda was the car that ambitiously took on the supercar world and established Pagani as a force to be reckoned with, when most new start-up supercar manufacturers were biting the dust. It’s outlandish styling, AMG-derived engine with an intoxicating note, and fastidious build quality quickly made it worthy of being uttered in the same sentence as legends like Ferrari and Lamborghini.

Although officially having bowed out and stepped aside for its little brother, the Pagani Huayra to take center stage, one-off Zonda’s have been popping up every now and then, despite the manufacturer’s claim that each new Zonda will be their last Zonda.

Once again, we’re being treated to a new Zonda, however in fairness, the new Pagani Zonda Fantasma Evo isn’t all that new — having started off as a right-hand drive Zonda F in 2005. The vehicle was destroyed in an unfortunate incident back in 2012, at which point the car was sent back to Pagani and turned into the Fantasma. Not content, the Fantasma has been sent back to Italy for an even more intense makeover, resulting in the current Evo guise.

Power still comes from the naturally-aspeicated 7.3-liter V12 engine sourced from AMG that delivers 760-hp, but the Evo now wears a full dark red carbon fiber body, red stripes, new hood, and a new rear end that’s topped off by a large rear wing.

It may not be the newest and shiniest Pagani to grace the streets, but the Pagani Zonda Fantasma Evo just may be the ultimate Pagani, and possibly supercar, in our book.
