Some motorcycles are meant to roam the open road, others are meant to head to the junkyard after a long life, while a select few can be refashioned by Michael Woolaway into artistic creations. The artist, and motorcycle enthusiast’s, latest installation is the Deus Ex Machina TTT, a 1978 Triumph T140 that has been transformed into the centerpiece item for a home near San Diego, California. Don’t let the centerpiece status fool you. The Deus Ex Machina TTT is built to not only ride, but to do it at a high performance level.

The bike’s motor is a polished and ported 750cc T140 with handmade intake runners and two 34mm Mikuni flat-slide carburetors that have been outfitted with velocity stacks. A handmade C&J specialty frame is strategically paired with a long angular handmade aluminum tank that has been styled after the 1960’s Japanese Grand Prix racers. In keeping with the slim vintage feel of a Grand Prix racing bike, 17 inch Bridgestone BT45s can be found at the front and back of the motorcycle. A custom stainless steel exhaust completes the simultaneously iconic and modern look of this truly fantastic motorcycle.
