Ventra Gear Mainframe

Ventra addresses the common comfort, ventilation, and support problems of the backpack with the Ventra Gear Mainframe.

If you’ve ever carried a heavy pack on a serious hiking trip, you know that it can be backbreaking and uncomfortable work. And if you’ve ever taken one of those serious hiking trips during the summer months or in a tropical climate, you know that your pack can also trap enough heat and moisture to turn your back into a sultry ecosystem all its own.

The inventors and outdoors enthusiasts at Ventra have addressed many of the common problems associated with backpacking through the design elements of the Ventra Gear Mainframe. Consisting of a strong but lightweight metal frame and a breathable synthetic mesh, this patent pending product can be added to any backpack in seconds to significantly boost the comfort, ventilation, and support capabilities of that backpack.

The first product of its kind, the Ventra Gear Mainframe fits underneath the shoulder straps of the backpack and can be worn loose or securely fastened with a few simple straps and loops. The Mainframe separates the backpack from the back of the backpack wearer to allow for an extra layer of cushion. It also allows air to pass between backpack and back to provide a far cooler and less sweaty hiking experience.

Weighing just 350 grams, the Mainframe can carry loads in excess of 27 kilograms. Customers can order each unit to fit their approximate torso length.
