Machine Era has overhauled their original Field Pen to incorporate a custom made bolt action mechanism that merges with a fully machines and springy aircraft grade aluminum clip. The pen is the result of more than a year of prototyping and working out design kinks for the most effectively designed instrument.
It’s intended to serve as an everyday pen, there when you need it, where you need it. Its balanced design, low profile silhouette, and solid construction make it a reliable piece of kit. The bolt slot shape follows the natural motion you would use, allowing for a more silky smooth writing experience.
As the Field Pen is machined from solid stock, every side and angle have been machine cut. Swiss-type turning techniques have crafted pristine and accurate parts, right down to the thousandth of an inch. Such precision is important not just for the working parts of the pen, but for its overall finish as well. Its Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) coating, the same used in aircraft and firearm manufacturing, and performance racing, is impact resistant and is extremely difficult to scratch so it will last almost a lifetime.
