Nike’s first production self-lacing sneaker is here, and it’s not called the Nike MAG. Due to launch in time for the 2016 holiday season, the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 is the sneaker that officially brings us closer to the future.
Although it was initially dreamt up by a certain science fiction film, the HyperAdapt 1.0 is the real deal by making clever use of sensors that will detect when you step in, automatically tightening the shoe. For those that want a more custom fit, there are two buttons on the side to tighten and loosen to adjust for a perfect fit. The HyperAdapt 1.0 will be available exclusively to Nike+ members when it drop towards the end of the year.
